«SWAN Gymnastic Center» opened up in Florence in 1985. Structured on two levels, it is located in Via dei Pepi, downtown Florence, between the wonderful Piazza Santa Croce and the characteristic S. Ambrogio market. The gym is easily accessible by public bus: #14 has two stops on Via dell’Agnolo and Via Ghibellina, #23 has one on Via Verdi and the stops of electric buses A and C. By signing up you get free access to the gym, free use of cardio and isotonic equipment and frequency of our classes.

The rooms of the gym «Swan Gymnastic Center» are air-conditioned, providing in summer and winter the ideal temperature for the perfect workout. Every morning the equipment and the rooms are sanitized with the system «Sani-Green-Fast hygien fog» to ensure guests the maximum hygiene every day. CIRCUIT TRAINING
It simultaneously improves strength, power and endurance at the muscular level but also all cardio-respiratory functions.
BODY SCULPT
Muscle toning activity using small equipment such as weights, elastic bands and ankle straps. It is a workout aimed at strengthening and defining major muscle groups. It is low impact. Part of the class is devoted to strengthening exercises for abdominals, glutes, adductors and abductors.
«G.A.G.»
Shaping gymnastics for legs, buttocks and abdomen with localized and toning work. G.A.G.: «Gluteus Abdomen Legs». Simple non-stressful fitness exercises to be performed standing or lying down, with music. G.A.G. promises excellent results and is affordable for everyone except those with knee or back problems.
BODY TONE
General intense free-body toning activities. The first part is aerobic work for toning and slimming, and the second is muscle stretching, as a defatigue and a tool to get rid of the stress of the workday while improving sleep at night.
PILATES
Exercises for postural muscles, which help keep the body balanced and support the spine. Special attention is paid to toning and strengthening the abdomen, buttocks, adductors and lower back. Six are the basic principles: breathing, center of gravity, precision, concentration, control, fluidity.
HIIT
«High Intensity Interval Training». It’s a cardiovascular workout that alternates high-intensity exercises (ex. sprints) and low-intensity exercises (ex. walking at a slow pace «active recovery»). Between one series and another it’s possible to stop completely. It is used in team sports: it is very effective to improve aerobic capacity without decreasing strength, power and sprinting.
TOTAL BODY
Muscle program to increase basal metabolic rate and stimulate fat consumption by alternating toning exercises. The lesson is in two phases: first part standing with cardiovascular training exercises and toning with use of step, weights and elastic bands. Second part on the ground, with exercises for abdomen and buttocks. Final stretching exercises. Low impact for everyone.
POSTURAL
Exercises for the postural muscles: those muscles that help keep the body balanced and essential in providing support to the spine. Attention to toning and strengthening the abdomen, buttocks, adductors and lumbar area through six principles: precision, concentration, center of gravity, control, breathing, fluidity.
«ABS»
Fitness class aimed at strengthening the abdominals, back and shoulders. These are crucial muscles for any daily or athletic movement. Through specific exercises - first light then more intense - and using weights, handlebars and bars, muscle tone is improved while firming and reshaping the body. This workout, combined with a healthy diet, will enable you to achieve more sculpted abs.
«SWAN Gymnastic Center» is open every day, all day long. With the subscription you can freely use all the services: weights, equipment and cardio machines. Fitness classes are done at scheduled times.
